Update...Softball...church...other things...

So, softball last Thursday went well and I did finally get a hit. I actually walked two times, scored two runs, and was on base three of the four times I was up in the first game which we won 22-18. The second game I grounded into a double play but I also got a single which is good. No softball this week but I will still go to the batting cages probably on Thursday.

Church is going well and we had a wonderful service for a dear church member today. I am excited for tomorrow's Pastors Group at Gloria Dei Lutheran in Salisbury. I am also excited for lunch with a friend on Thursday in Statesville.

softball version 2.0

Well, I have softball here in two hours and I am nervous because I want a hit so badly so here is what I have decided: My number goal is to have fun and I believe that if my first goal is to have fun then the hits will come. I will tell you all how it went when I get back.

GO UNITY! GO PHIL! GO FUN!

Softball...

Well, our first games of softball went okay. We ended up losing both games (19-9; 15-11) but I have focused more on my hitting the ball or lack there of...I went 0 for 2 in the first game with a double play and Fielder's Choice. The second game I went 0 for 2 with two line outs and a walk. I am determined to do well this year. Last year I had no expectations and now I do which is interesting. I hit 80 softballs at the batting cages today and I firmly believe practice makes perfect. I am gaining the confidence and I know I will do well next Thursday when we play again. I can't get too frustrated because the hits will come. That's all for now but I'll update everyone next Friday after our game next Thursday. I fell a couple of hits coming:)

2010

Well, I haven't entered in a recent blog in probably about six months but here is my first one of the new year. I am excited so far about 2010. I am grateful for Michelle finding a new job working for the census. I am confident that we will sell our house in Florida. I am enthusiastic about the new softball season beginning tonight. I am joy-filled to be here in Woodleaf and I look to wonderful things in the future.
